What should we do when an event is turned on to us should we try to live it or chew it up and spit it out. We do and say alot for the countries of the world what can we do. We give aid to a lot of countries right now Haiti most likely Chile now thanks to the 8.8 quake what should we do as the us citizens we are to be. My generation is the next to come but should we be scared of the future or embrace it.

  1. I am not afraid of the future. I feel that the media, churches, and those is politics who seek to gain by fear mongering are over estimating the dangers and evils in the world. When one considers the enormity of good done by so many every day, it puts such accusations of malevolence in their proper perspective. I have just finished reading Amazing Grace by Eric Metaxas. When we compare our world, especially the world of wonder that is America, to the horrors which faced William Wilberforce, it is most heartening. We have not only repudiated slavery; we have rejected Communism, National Racism, Exploitative Imperialism, and murder in the name of Christ. There are problems, (abortion, Islamic fanaticism, and environmental hysteria) but in a nation where all who chose have food, shelter, and opportunity, it seems odd to be crying doom.
